| i will be making the whole thanksgiving spread tomorrow for my in-laws and sister-in-law...and of course, for my hubby, too. it's so silly that i'm such a worry wort. seriously, i'm stressing about how i'm going to be preparing multiple dishes at once while the turkey is roasting in the oven. how am i going to be boiling potatoes, baking sweet potatoes, blanching green beans, and preparing the stuffing and keep everything fresh and warm at the dinner table!?!? i'm a little anxious about juggling such tasks simultaneously. i guess it's just training to be a mom... :) mom and sisters are coming down to dallas for christmas. brother and dad will be staying up in seattle. so THANKFUL that i'll have some seattle family with me during the holiday season. *tears welling* okay, i'll stop. a group of us are running the turkey trot 3 and 8 miler tomorrow morning. and a smaller bunch of us are running the dallas white rock half marathon in a few weeks. definitely excited about that. lately, i've been hearing stories of God's perfect timing and wonderful way of showing love to His kids. when someone was praying for an answer, that moment, God provided a phone call that brought encouragement and hope. a friend received money in the mail, out of the blue. a couple conceives after trying for years. God is good. He is faithful. He is Numbah-Wahn! :) | | |

| here's an update: i got a job about a month ago at ernst & young, working as an operations coordinator for hr, basically a glorified administrative position that i really enjoy. who knows what God has in store for me, career-wise. maybe rise the corporate ladder and become a little hr manager for the dallas office (oh so i wish, but not really)? they've got great benefits and a flexible work schedule, if i so choose to remain in the work place if i become a mom... jeff, my gracious and loving benefactor, provided me a ticket to nyc to hang with two of my most cherished college sisters...may and helen...we're all from seattle and attended the same college, but have since been displaced to different parts of the nation...may's in virginia beach, helen's in boston, i'm in dallas. and so we decided to meet in nyc where we stayed in a hostel, watched the lion king, got haircuts at a chinatown hair salon where one of the hair artists when "postal" and tried to throw a park bench through the salon storefront windows, and ventured to the scary underbelly of chinatown to look at expensive faux designer bags. l to r: may.me.helen i love this picture because of the fact that it was so spontaneous. it was a beautiful, crisp, sunny morning and i forget where we were off to. but we were busy crossing streets and sub-streets when we were stopped by a red light. at that instant, may whips out her camera and shoots this clean picture. the juxtaposition of the faces, my face framed between two framed faces, the balance and composition...it also captures us at the early part of our trip, where we were just excited to see each others faces and catch up on lost time...it was such a wonderful weekend. the weekend of concentrated time spent together made up for all the past few years of intermittent phone calls and emails that only exchange so much...anyway, loved my little excursion, but i definitely missed my husband and felt bad for "abandoning" him while i left with my girlfriends. it definitely is different when you're married; you become one and it gets more involved when you make plans to go somewhere without the other...
cooper (our shih tzu puppy) is growing up and doing well. i feel guilty that he's all by himself for almost 9 hours because jeff and i work, and i wonder if i'm being a bad pet owner. his ears smell, and i think it's because he's got a bit of yeast in them and i've been lazy about injecting the prescribed ointment into his ears every morning and every night. i've been a bad pet owner! jeff and i are enjoying married life. God is WONDERFUL! | | |
| ...here comes the whang's with a shih tzu package!!!
mr. and mrs. whang are proud parents of an 11 week old shih tzu pup. his name is cooper. we named him after a ski resort/destination in colorado that jeff's family frequents. thought cooper would be an absolutely fitting name for such a stud!
what's hilarious is that i'd be the LAST person to own a dog. back in seattle, we had quite a few dogs and i was the first person to pet them, the LAST person to ever wash, feed, discipline, walk, take care of...
jeff's a dog lover and i'm just one who admires them from afar. BUT, like, a week ago, my mind absolutely changed. a complete 180. i even would stop dog walkers on the katy trail (seattle burke-gilman trail equivalent) and ask them what breed their dogs are and compliment the canines on their cuteness. anyway, here's our furry little bundle o' joy who goes by the name of cooper. pooper cooper, scooper cooper, coopster, yeah.
cooper whang (dob 9/18/07)

elise, my sister, is visiting us on the 3rd and will be the first outta state visitor to see our new addition. cooper will be smelling his best and looking all studly...!
